For the last few months, Investment Unblocked has been getting requests from our audience to post about the founder’s background, hobbies, interests, and daily routines. So here is a short bio.
About the Founder
S. Prasad Rao (Rinku) is a social media content creator, investor, and investment faculty. He is the founder of Investment Unblocked. Before founding Investment Unblocked, he worked in different stock market agencies and became a known face in the city’s investing circle.
Background:
Prasad was born on 15th June 1990, in Bhubaneswar, to Mr. S Ganesh Rao and Mrs. S Bhabani. His father was the co-founder of the famous street food center “Gana Chat” in market building, Ashok Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Though his father never did any formal schooling, he is tactful and a very street-smart person. People regard Prasad’s family that entrepreneurship is in their DNA.
Since Prasad’s childhood, his father never imposed any rules on him to select any particular career and gave him complete freedom to choose any profession that he is passionate about. His father was never against any occupation, regardless of how small the society classifies it. Also, one of his father’s advices, which still resonates with him, is, “Be kind to the people who are not doing well in the society; you may not know what they are going through.”
Hobbies:

Biking:
Like the diamonds are the best friend of women, so are the bikes for men. If there will be any commercial(probably, there is) made on the tagline, “Men will be men,” then it should have a bike in the frame :-). Prasad can’t resist a friend inviting him to go for a long ride and never will. He embarked on so many long bike rides and covered many states on his 2-stroke bike. So riding bikes is one of the most entertaining hobbies for him.

Networking:
As his father, Prasad believes that networking with key people has a profound impact on your personal and professional growth. So you will usually find him talking to quality people when he is not providing his investment classes. He loves communicating with people, and that’s what he considers his secret of happiness.

Reading:
Prasad believes that if you want to grow, both personally and professionally, then make reading an integral part of your life. He reads a lot of financial books and reads for at least 1.5 hours of finance-related articles daily.

Exercise:
Prasad is a fitness fanatic. Though he is not a gym bunny, he regularly exercises for 30 minutes a day and has never gained weight since he was young. According to him, what is the point of being an Investment consultant if someone can’t invest in their health first? He is also conscious of his diet and consumes clean and hygienic food only.

Volunteering or community service:
Once in few weeks, Prasad prefers to volunteer for local NGOs. He is very active with several NGOs and has a good relationship with them. Since he is very compassionate about visually impaired or physically handicapped, the We4You NGO is very close to his heart. Prasad feels very humble and gives him sheer happiness to serve the people who are born with disabilities. He is so committed to helping people with hearing impairment and speaking disabilities that he learned the sign language to communicate with them. Also, he is a part of an NGO that drives campaigns to donate the rare blood group types to people. Prasad believes that each of us has social responsibilities that we carry on our shoulders, which is a must to do.

Mindfulness:
You might ask, “Doesn’t Prasad need any ‘me-time’ in his busy life?”. Well, like many entrepreneurs, he also needs half an hour daily in solitude to reflect on the day. Prasad prefers to sit in a quiet place in nature or a closed room and recalls what happened on the day. He jokingly says that “If someone is not comfortable with himself, then he must be boring.”.
